Boy George & Culture Club release first new song in 20 years: 'Let Somebody Love You'

For their first new material in 20 years, Culture Club and its founding frontman Boy George have reunited to release the single "Let Somebody Love You," with a new album "Life" to follow Oct. 26.

Culture Club's playful genre-fusing pop launched the band to '80s stardom, and "Let Somebody Love You" taps into the reggae influences that made songs such as "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" enduring hits for George and Co. The band occasionally voiced their activist opinions in their lyrics, and the chorus of "Let Somebody Love You" preaches a vaguely political message: "Love is revolution / War and famine, too / If you’ve the hunger in your heart / Let somebody love you."

Officially reuniting as a touring group in 2014, Culture Club spent years teasing and delaying a new album. For fans who perhaps have seen Culture Club live over the band's past few years of touring, the arrival of "Life" is a long-overdue surprise. The band will conclude its summer and fall North America tour Oct. 6 in Temecula, California.
