Daft Punk is coming out of retirement to release new music.
In the words of the great electronic duo ‘One more timeeeee!'
The legendary electronic group announced they will be releasing a 10th-anniversary edition of their final album Random Access Memories.

The duo revealed that the album will be released May 12, with pre-orders available now.
The anniversary edition will feature nine tracks and 35 minutes of unreleased music.
Of course, it sent fans into a frenzy, as one tweeted: “UNRELEASED MUSIC???? ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY??????HELLO????”

Another wrote: “You know, something's telling me this is going to be the sound of the summer.”
A third commented: “One last dance with the robots. Gosh, I am not ready for this.”
While another shared: “I never preordered a vinyl faster in my LIFE.”
So far, we know that the album will be produced by Columbia Records and will feature bonus songs including early incarnations of ‘Get Lucky’, ‘Give Life Back To Music’ and ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’.

Random Access Memories was their fourth studio album and the follow-up to 2015’s Human After All.
The French duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo announced their split two years ago, which sent shockwaves worldwide.
The pair's publicist Kathryn Frazier confirmed the news to Pitchfork after a video was posted via the band's YouTube channel.

The eight-minute-long clip - titled 'Epilogue' - shows the duo walking through a desert with their notorious helmets and leather jackets.
The pair can be seen walking to be face-to-face before one removes his Daft Punk embroidered jacket and reveals an energy pack on the back.
And you can be damn sure that hearts all over the world were shattered.

One person at the time wrote: “You'll be missed legends, thank you for everything.”
While another said: “It's amazing how Daft Punk was able to make us all cry without any words. After coming back to say goodbye.

Since then, the two have released a 25th-anniversary edition of their debut album Homework, plus a reissue of their live record Alive '97.
Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter has also announced plans for a new orchestral album, Mythologie, which will be released April 7.
