U.S. Postal Service hiring 58 people at Harrisburg-area facility

The U.S. Postal Service is hiring more than 50 people to work in its Harrisburg Processing and Distribution Center.

The post office at 1425 Crooked Hill Road near Elmerton Avenue in Susquehanna Township is hiring 58 mail handler assistants.

“These positions have the potential to lead to a career position,” the post office said in a press release.

Mail handler assistants load, unload and move bulk mail and performs other duties related to mail processing.

The positions pay $16.55 per hour and the post office said that the new employees are immediate eligible for health benefits.

The post office said that listing will be on its website until Saturday.
