Primula japonica 'Appleblossom'
Primula japonica 'Appleblossom'
- begins shipping in April
There are over 500 species of Primrose and many of them can be quite difficult to grow. As a rule, they prefer a slightly shaded location with humus rich soil that never fully dries out. The selections we grow are good garden plants that require relatively little care.
Candelabra primroses grow naturally in Japan along streams and rivers. They are tall colorful plants that make a real statement in the spring border. Place in a moist spot - perhaps at the edge of a pond - for best results.
As the name suggests, 'Appleblossom' has blooms that resemble apple blossoms.
