이수만 SM 회장에 이어 배우 전지현이 세월호 침몰 사고에 1억원을 기부했다.
대한적십자사 측은 29일 보도자료를 통해 배우 전지현이 세월호 침몰 사고 피해자와 유가족을 위한 성금 1억 원을 기부했다고 전했다.
대한적십자사에 의하면 전지현은 본명인 왕지현 명의로 대한적십자사에 기부했으며 이는 담당부서에서 재확인하던 중 밝혀진 것으로 전해졌다.
전지현은 지인을 통해 “세월호 침몰 사고로 안타깝게 희생된 학생들의 소식과 애절한 유가족들의 사연을 접할 때마다 가슴이 먹먹해했고 남은 가족들이 희망을 잃지 않았으면 좋겠다”며 “작은 마음이지만 희생자 가족과 아픔을 나누고 싶다”고 말했다.
앞서 전지현은 지난 2012년 결혼 당시 축의금 전액을 모두 기부했으며 세월호 침몰 사고 소식에 지난 17일 명동에서 예정된 캠페인 행사를 취소한 바 있다.
한편 전지현을 비롯해 SM엔터테인먼트 이수만 회장, 배우 송승헌, 김수현, 하지원, 방송인 강호동, 이휘재, 추성훈 등 많은 연예인들이 세월호 침몰 사고 기부에 동참해 보는 이들의 마음을 뭉클하게 만들고 있다. (onlinenews@heraldcorp.com)
