Cheonggyecheon Stream & Cheonggye Plaza

Great spot for a lunch break with your feet in the water and a ramen in your hand.

In the middle of the center of Seoul flows the Cheonggyecheon River. In the 1970s, the course of the water was contained and built a high-speed highway over the zubetonierten river.To make Seoul a greener city, construction began in 2003 to clear and renaturate the river.The high-speed highway was demolished, historic bridges were rebuilt and the stream was landscaped. Today, the Cheonggyecheon River is a popular place to go for a walk. In the evening, the river is brightly lit with colorful lights.The river is a great way to walk from the city center to Dongdaemun Design Plaza.
