Introduction: How to Install the Royale Noir Theme in Windows XP

You know, the default blue theme in Windows XP that you're probably using is a little boring. So spice up your desktop with Royale Noir! For those you don't know what it is, here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royale_(theme)

All you need is a PC running Windows XP, an Internet connection, and some sort of file extracting software.

Step 1: Getting the Theme

On your web Browser go to Google and type in "royale noir." Then go to this link: http://www.istartedsomething.com/20061029/royale-noir/

Download the file (Zip or Rar, your choice) from the site to somewhere on your computer (eg. the desktop).

Step 2: Extracting the Theme

Using a file extracting program such as WinZip, extract to C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes.

Step 3: Configuring the Theme

Form that folder, click on the "Luna" theme icon. This will open the Display Properties > Appearance. From the drop-down menu, select Royale Noir, then click Apply, then OK. Now sit back and enjoy your new desktop.
