안네 프랑크의 집

안네 프랑크의 집은 네덜란드 암스테르담에 있는 박물관으로,1942년부터 1944년까지 유대인이었던 안네 프랑크가 숨어 살았던 집이다. 안네가 있었던 다락방 및 안네의 일기, 사진 등이 그대로 보존되어 있다. 안네 프랑크 재단이 관리 운영을 실시하고 있다. 나치 정권의 학살에 관한 잔혹한 자료와 사진 등을 전시하고 있는 자료관도 있다.

Anne Frank House

The Anne Frank House is a writer's house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The building is located on a canal called the Prinsengracht, close to the Westerkerk, in central Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During World War II, Anne Frank hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the 17th-century canal house, known as the Secret Annex (Dutch: Achterhuis). She did not survive the war but her wartime diary was published in 1947. Ten years later the Anne Frank Foundation was established to protect the property from developers who wanted to demolish the block.

독일의 유대인 소녀로 나치가 네덜란드를 지배한 시기에 쓴 일기로 유명하다. 그 일기는 한국어로는 《안네의 일기》라는 제목으로 출판됐다. 1938년 17세 소년 헤어쉘 그린츠판이 거주의 자유 박탈에 항의하다 파리주재 독일대사관 3등서기관 에른스트 폼 라트를 살해한 사건을 구실로 유대인들에 대한 집단 테러를 가한 범죄인 수정의 밤 사건을 시작으로 유대인들에 대한 학살(홀로코스트)이 일어나자, 삼촌들은 미국으로 망명하였으며,안네 프랑크의 가족도 네덜란드의 암스테르담으로 망명했다.

Anne Frank (1929-1945)

Annelies Marie "Anne" Frank was a German-Dutch diarist of Jewish origin. One of the most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust, she gained fame posthumously with the publication of The Diary of a Young Girl (originally Het Achterhuis in Dutch; English: The Secret Annex), in which she documents her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944, during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. It is one of the world's best known books and has been the basis for several plays and films.
