I LOVE these shelves and am so pleased with the quality. I literally almost cancelled my order after reading several negative reviews and am so glad I didn’t. And I hate taking time for reviews but want people to see how great they are. They’re super sturdy and can withstand the weight of all our books.
I’m using them as home school shelves. They’re so much prettier than other cheap bookshelves- the trim makes it look way more expensive.
Mine are true white- I know another reviewer received an off white but that wasn’t the case for me.
Other reviewers also said there were 6 individual, difficult back panels and plastic pieces. They must’ve changed it because mine doesn’t have that, mine has 3 wider pieces (and I’m so glad there aren’t the cheap looking plastic pieces on mine).
It was time consuming and mildly tricky, but no different than any other build your own furniture.
My only complaints are that you can see the silver screws on the inside of the shelves and there’s a small gap on the trim of one shelf (all pictured in my review photos) but these wouldn’t cause me to hesitate purchasing.
The depth of the shelf itself isn’t the full 11” but closer to 10”. The 11” depth includes the trim that kinda sticks out. It isn’t deep enough to fully fit every children’s book, but as you can see in the photos I posted it’s not a deal breaker. It does fit most children’s books fully. It’s very hard to find deep bookshelves that are also tall and these are deeper (and prettier) than like every other tall bookshelf I found (usually 9” deep).
I definitely recommend!! I’ve gotten so many compliments on these.

Lovely Bookcase
So i needed some bookcases, for my ridiculous book buying. I looked at several book cases, and wanted something that looked good. These are actually pretty. The box is extremely heavy. The directions i received with it were really great. Step by step instructions. Even with that, i did put some shelves on backwards. (lol). Of course they are pressed wood. What do you expect for the price? But i like them so much, i ordered 2 more. The height of the shelves allow you to put any size book in them.

Put this together after about an hour. No text instructions but the illustations make a lot of sense to put this together. The problem came when lifting this unit up, the top half has more weight than the bottom and the wood did not hold the screws that the top part almost broke in two. I've invested time on this already and needed the book shelves so I managed to lift it up start using it. I also noticed that the paper covering the "wood" (which gives the wood looking appearance) started to peel off. It's just a shame that I had to make repairs to the bad quality product when this was supposed to be new and should at least make it in one piece on day one.
