This is a list of edible mushrooms found in Washinton, Oregon, and British Columbia. Choice edible mushrooms are in bold. Each scientific name links to the iNaturalist page when it exists.

– No mushroom is edible for everyone. Individuals show a range of sensitivities to classically edible mushrooms
– Rotten specimens of edible species are inedible. Use your senses to assess the suitability of your specimens
– Proper identification is critical. Look, smell, and taste are not reliable indicators of a mushroom’s edibility
– Preparation can be important. Some mushrooms can make a person ill if not cooked thoroughly.
– Thorough cooking will not always make a poisonous mushroom edible
