Rolly Kimbap is a convenient drop in for a filling lunch. They have an extensive menu with so many different options, no matter what you are interested in. There are also side dishes that they sell that are not on the menu, such as roasted sweet potatoes, kimchi, roasted pumpkin, etc. I got the rolly kimbap ($5.50) which has egg, cucumber, daikon radish, carrot, burdock, and spam. I waited less than a minute for my order and it was pretty busy at the time! I guess they had it already prepared because they know how popular their items are.
The roll was perfectly rolled, perfectly stuffed, perfectly flavored. It was cut very neatly and it has great value for the price. I highly recommend stopping by for an inexpensive, filling meal. Keep in mind that there is a 4% upcharge if you are paying by credit card and very limited seating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 10, 2023Updated review
After going to this location and the other Rolly Kimbab on Springfield Blvd location a couple of more times, I can confirm that the kimbap rolls are rolled better at the other location. The rolls here seem less filled and use more rice than the ones made at the other location. Still great food for the price, but the rolls at the other location are just consistently better.
Some more things I've tried here:
- Steamed Dumplings: Not bad. Wrapper is thin, and the filling is juicy and slightly sweet. Wouldn't order again because they just seemed like microwaved frozen dumplings.
- Lobster Kimbap: Not bad. It seems like it's just a lobster meat stick or cut up lobster fish balls they use as the lobster. The lobster meat stick is slightly saltier than a crabmeat stick, but it may as well have been a crabmeat stick because the difference was negligible. Has avocado in it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 4, 2023Previous reviewEven though this location has sit-down service, I liked the kimbap better at the other location on Springfield Blvd. The other location gives the option to roll the kimbap with multigrain rice, but this location does not. I ordered the same kimbap at both locations (the crab salad kimbap), but I thought the one I got at the other location was fresher and had more filling. I also got the Bibimbap, which came with a lot of rice. I would return to this location because I do like having the option to dine in and reduce takeout waste, but I had a better impression of the quality of the food at the other location.

Greeted in Korean which I loved. Seems like a family business which makes me like it more. Prices are fair, unlike the city, which is another plus. And I got a pleasant surprise (cup of soup) which is such a sweet unexpected touch. Another plus. I wasn't hungry and was rather full but I wanted to give this place a shot. I ordered the Kimbap bulgugi (spicy and regular). Loved both and it was exactly what I expected from the previous yelpers photos. Also love the name of the shop. It's so cute!

A simple in and out spot to get your kimbap fix! I stopped by after work since I was around the area and got a spicy tuna and mushroom kimbap. I would definitely recommend the spicy tuna! The woman at the register was kind enough to also give me two miso soup cups to go. It came out to $14 total. Each kimbap order comes with a decent amount of rolls! My only wish is that they would have kimbap dinner boxes that had more side options -- I believe the location at Bayside has that.

Haven't visited the shop physically since I don't live that close by, but I've ordered from here a few times now. I have tried a variety of their kimbaps, but my favorite dishes are the kimchi and tuna kimbap and their seafood/janchi noodle soup (잔치국수). When I'm feeling fancy, I sometimes go for the lobstar kimbap.
The food has good portions, tastes and looks great, and it always satisfies my cravings. I'll be continuing to order from here!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mei Na C.New York, NY01110Mar 21, 20241 check-in
WORST SERVICE EVER. We waited 15 minutes to place our order instore and waited another 20-25 minutes for the food only to find out that the lady who took our order put in the wrong item and that its too late because the kitchen made it already. First off, we confirmed with her 4-5x to make sure that she put in the correct items that we wanted and she said yes it was the right one so it was her fault. She was not sorry and did not apologize at all that she made the mistake even though we told & confirmed with her a few times. Will not be coming back anymore.

Picked up 7 kimbap rolls. Immediately upon opening the food, I noticed all 7 rolls were made with OLD RICE. When I spoke to the owner, he was extremely belligerent and in denial stating they always use fresh rice. Despite telling him I am Korean and I know the difference between fresh vs. old rice, he patronized me stating that it was the cold weather that caused the rice to harden. Refused to make things right so I stated I would share my experience online in order to raise awareness and to AVOID coming here!!!
