Descriptions

Morphology
Solitary. Gregarious, scattered. Basidiome: 7.5–11.3 cm long, 6.6–6.9 cm wide, nearly round when young, becoming piriform. Exoperidium: thin, adherent, smooth at first then cracking into small, flat scales or patches, easily peeling off, white when young to tan to purplish or purple–brown at maturity. Context: dark purple or purple brown, smooth, thin. Gleba: white when young, becoming faded clay pink then purplish brown at maturity, spongy and firm. Odor: pleasant. Taste: not distinctive. Spore print: purple. Spores: globose, echinulate to verrucose or smooth, hyaline.
Habit
Solitary, gregarious, scattered.
Distribution
Global distribution. Altitude: 1475 – 1660 m a.s.l. Colombian departments: Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca.
Ecology
Saprotroph. - Soil saprotroph. Habitat/ecology: in grass, lawns, meadows.
